Mic-Hell was born and raised in the Bronx, N. Y., where he attended Samuel Gompers Technical H.S. Music ran in his family, so the interest was in his blood. And when your family is Jamaican, you grow up listening to dance hall.  Mic-Hell found his inspiration in Spragga Benz, a dance hall DJ from Jamaica.  When Mic-Hell realized he couldn't DJ, he decided to rap. Mic-Hell's brother Pops, his sister Nece, and his man Fanuel are his mentors because they all took the time to listen to his music and judge it honestly which made him a better rapper. Besides Spragga, Mic-Hell lists his other musical influences as Slick Rick, Jay-Z, Biggie, and Eminem. His rap style is aggressive and cocky, with a lot of wordplay, but still smooth.  Perhaps because when asked to describe himself
Mic-Hell would like the audience to feel the reality in his lyrics, which are not the usual bang bang shoot 'em up that we have become used to. Any references to things of that nature are more of a metaphor. Writing about the things he's been through and his beliefs allow Mic-Hell to be a well rounded rapper. Despite having already done a cut for the Heatmakers album, Mic-Hell still calls himself a "diamond in the cave, waiting for the miner to come get him out".

Mic-Hell replies, "When I record, I don't try to make hit records - I try to make masterpieces!"
Mic Hell is back in the lab working on his solo album .  Be sure to check out Mic Hell on Myspace coming soon.

Mic-Hell says he is a very quiet person, "a calm dude, "I'm the type of person that would keep his mouth shut and let fools talk while I plot my next move!" And when asked what makes him different from other artists,
